Freshers’ Fete Returns With Caribbean Finesse

With a new theme, “Caribbean Dreams”, University of Technology, Jamaica Students’ Union Council is presenting its annual Freshers’ Fete. It is scheduled to be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Student Activity Center (Barn) commencing at 9:00 pm.

“It is to generate money to aid the students’ populace overall. Proceedings from this event normally goes to the Students’ development fund in terms of a portion goes to sponsorship, bursaries and love lunches,” utters Director of Entertainment, Dwayne Henry.

In addition, Henry expresses enthusiastically that this 2016 Freshers’ Fete promises to be a difference. The event will take the Cabana Style, which based on students’ views is highly anticipated. The party’s signature offering, “The Cabana Special” will be at a cost of $30,000 which is inclusive of : 6 passes, Waiter Service, VIP Parking,3 Chasers, 1 Bottle of  White Rum, 1 Bottle of White Rum and 1 Bottle of Skyy or Appleton. Admission is $600 presold, $800 at the gate, $400 for Early Birds and $2,500 for V.I.Ps.

This year’s event will bring talented Disc Jockeys such as: DJ News, ZJ Chrome, DJ Shadez and DJ Kurt Riley to assist with generating the entertainment that people are awaiting, by playing well-known tropical music.
